We have already raised about half of the (Estimated) 10'000 usd that it is going to take to build the new shelter , we are still awaiting some quotes on the work as they are coming in quite a bit higher than we had anticipated , but hopefull work will begin in the next week

Welcome to the forum! I look forward to meeting you when you get to town. I heard so many nice things about you from your Mom & Andy! I know they are very excited about having you in Playa....not to mention the extra help with the Shelter!! See you soon! I come back to town on May 7th. When do you arrive?

Well the flight hasn't been booked yet. I still have a lot to sort out over here before I leave, but fingers crossed, it'll be some time around June 4th.
Just waiting for that right price, y'know.

Hello!! I've met your mum and hung out with her several times!! She is such a lovely woman! She and Andy are wonderful people! I'll miss seeing you when I'm in Mexico next week, but I look forward to meeting you when I arrive in July!

Hey Andrew,

Excellent job on the fund raising for the construction fund!!!! I have $900 more in donationas for the construction fund and maybe a bit more coming in before I fly back on May 7th! (fingers crossed!).

I love the before & after pictures of sweet, sweet Misha!!! Those photos are worth a "thousand words"! Fabulous evidence of the wonderful job you & Jen do!! Oh..how I fretted over that little girl!....& you guys know what a "fretter" I am! She was one awful looking sick dog with a personality that defied reason!!!
I'm really bummed to not be able to be there to meet Liz & Bill (George's parents) at the wash this Saturday. They know my good reason for delaying my return. Big hugs to you Liz & Bill for giving George a loving home!

I totallly understand. Flight prices a bit scary lately ....from the US as well. Keep shopping! Someone once told me that Tuesday nights...close to the midnight hour are time when airlines drop prices. I did this last night & sure enough....I saved $240 Us. ...Just a thought.

I scored some people meds and supplies for the shelter today!!!! Now....to get thru customs and not landing myself in airport jail!

Andy that is wonderful on the $$$ raised! I am hoping to add to that with additional jewelry sales here and in Playa.

Be careful taking the meds through customs! If they fit, I would put them all in the bottom of your purse. You know about my experience! They checked my duffle bag pretty good, even unzipping the bottom compartment where I had my sandals.

If they do happen to get them, plead ignorance and ask if they will hold them until you leave the country.

Maureen is taking the heartworm meds with on her return to Mexico. I'll be relieved when I hear they have made it to Andy and Jen.

Thanks for the heads up Jill, good idea, hiding them in the bottom and secret compartments of my purse. Did you get the red light? I have not gotten it in a longggg time, hoping I won't this time!

Yeah thats where my mom always hides the parmesan and salami when she comes to see us, like a good ole immigrant in the 40's . Last year they found the food and she was freaking out with the guys at the airport she almost got arrested. Her babies food was being taken away from her. Quite a tempre, this woman.

They took me into an office because I didn't want to give up the pet meds. While I was in there I heard some people walk by and they said "I think they're arresting her!"
