Yes she sleeps with her lil head on my pillow, or the one next...but only if I'm in the bed...if I crash out on the sofa, she sleeps on the sofa with me all night...and as soon as I get up, she follows me. my baby. Now that my moms here, and she has the big bed, rosie never once slept her, she sleeps with me in the small bed
in the other room. |

Hi Andy and Jen:
Ok, I'm not as fabulous as some of the other people on this thread... but so far today I've sold 3 raffle tickets. Here is the flyer that I will be putting up at work. I hope I will be able to sell a bunch of tickets for you guys! BTW Love those pics of the wash days!! Help support the Peanut Pet Shelter, Playa Del Carmen, Mexico We are holding a fundraiser to help raise funds for a wall and additional kennels for this growing shelter. The Peanut Pet Shelter is run by a couple and they have been taking in dogs and cats that they find on the streets abandoned. Most of the animals have been beaten, hit by cars or tortured. They nurse them back to health, they get them all their shots and spay/neuter them and then try to relocate them. They have been searching for a bigger place as they are now at 30+ dogs/puppies and cats. They were lucky enough to rent a piece of vacant land right next door to their house, but they will need to build a wall and kennels themselves and are asking for help. We will be raffling off a Lia Sophia Necklace and Earrings, pictured below (retail value $178.00). Tickets will be $10.00 each. For more information, please contact Lucy Escarpita. |

Unfortunately, the pictures didn't show up on the flyer.. At the top of the flyer, there is a pic of the dog and cat that jen have on the peanut pet shelter website. At the bottom part of the flyer is a picture of the necklace and earrings. Oh well, you can tell that I'm not that good on the computer.

Linda, I hope you have the good luck that I did coming through. I hit the green light and off I went with no search. I will be forever grateful for that as I had a large suitcase overfilled with meds and supplies! The first and only time I have been nervous about hitting that light. We had a plan though. We put the suitcase between us in line. Erik went first to hit the light. If it had been red, I would have kept the meds suitcase with me and hit the light again myself thinking no way will it be red twice in a row.

red light-green light

I have heard of others doing this but could never figure how. When you get to customs, you hand in your declaration form-I thought if you get the red light-everyone with that form had their bags checked. Has anyone actually got away with not handing in a form and getting a green light? Just curious |

I hate to scare anyone but in January I got a green light after our luggage was xrayed and still had one of my bags searched. It was just a quick look and they didn't take anything but it was still a search. I was holding my breath because I had food items that I was muling down and really didn't want to lose them. ( large 1 kg. tub of peanut butter that probably look suspicious on the screen). I have hit the red light once and it was less of a search than the green light search...the girl just sort of patted my clothes and waved me on.

As for green light-red light-green light really dont give you a free pass. There a few things that sends a red flag-one are coolers-they dont want any food brought in. But if anything looks suspcious at all they will do a search. I also think the busier the airport is-the less chance of an inspection unless you gett he red light. |

We have now had a couple of quotes for the new shelter and a guy that Babaloo knows has offered to pretty much build the whole thing for 10,000 usd which is a great price, we will still have to build the individual pens and the two large runs we are planning but when the wall, concrete base and roof are done it wont take long to get the whole thing finished, we are still hoping to be open by the 1st of June, which will be great as the puppies are just pouring in, two more yesterday brings us up to 43
including four very young Doberman cross females which had been abandoned and a little furball that looks like a Collie cross, i will get some pics up of all the new guys asap.Dog wash tomorrow as usual and its gonna be a busy one, Liz and Bill wil be there along with the regulars and hopefully another of the older gals will be leaving us. Thank you all who have so generously given towads the new shelter fund, still a way to go but enough in the pot to get work started ![]() Lucy there are so many wonderful people have given both time and money to help us and you are one of them, thank you so much for doing this ![]()
