I am disgusted. Laura just called me, she was at a local vet, and a man had just brought in what remains of a dog
in a cage. This person was walking by a land, and saw a what one day may have been a boxer ( female) chained. No shade, no water, no food. A skeleton. No hair, she is now pick with black spots. Her face is so swollen she can barely open her eyes. She can barely stand on her feet. She is there now, she is being hydrated. This hero entered a private land and took the dog, to save her life. Thank you, whoever you may be. How can people do this to an animal, to another living being? I will never undrstand. I hope the " ex-owner" of this dog rots in hell. |

Yes, Andy and Jen are great! And also the people on this thread have been so great in helping raise funds for the construction of the shelter
I'm so glad to be a part of this thread, I really look forward to reading it every day. Everyone is really cool and I like the fact that they will do what they can to help out. Even if its just answering dumb questions, from newbies like me

anna - can you keep us posted on how that dog is doing? i'd like to hear if she makes it through this horrible ordeal.
I felt guilty about dropping my dogs off at the kennel for our trip to playa tomorrow. they will have a/c and the option of going indoors or out, plus playtime. I know they will be fed, given water, and have their own bed to sleep on....and they have each other for company I don't feel so guilty anymore because I know they have a fabulous life, even if they go into a kennel a few times during the year. They will never have to experience what this poor dog has gone through - or what any of the street dogs have gone through. |

I didn't know Anna would post this
. The vet was visiting her while I left, she said she thinks she will make it. If she does, she is going to be needing a very loving home. That poor dog, she looked into my eyes and was just resigned. She didn't bark or shy away, she looked just very very tired. Her bones were sticking out from her hips, I don't know how she could stand up at all. I'm due back at the vet monday morning and will ask abotu her, maybe stay a bit with her if they let me. I will also hear the whole story of where she was pciked up, I'm not sure what anna wrote is compeltely true, the vet didn't know either. I just told them to take pictures of her, and ask the man who saved her to tell them where she was, so we can check that they have no more dogs in the future ![]() ![]()
