Thank you as always for the kind words of support , at the end of the day we couldnt have done this without the huge amount of support from all of you, talking of which.... thanks to Heather and her amazing bloggers , we have begun today construction of the kennel dividers, i have chosen to do it in block as it is way cheaper than the other ways i had origionally planned AND the builder has returned to fix the problems with the roof that i had refused to pay for so more good news (and thanks also to Rick for his bit of strong-arming
).On the adoption front ..two older dogs went to new homes yesterday, both to people who previously adoped dogs from us and both have large lots of fenced in land/ garden for them to play in so it is goodbye to Honey and Misha and we also managed to rehome a poodle that had been staying with our friends at Dog Holiday (a local boarding kennel that kindly helps us with occasional overflow , when they have space). As most of you will know we are having a wee storm at the moment and the place is pretty flooded, i know its still early in the week but in case this keeps up until wednesday/ thursday we will probably have to cancel dog wash this week as it will take a few days of sun to dry the place out. ![]() And yes we will be arranging another on-line auction for around september so any available prizes will be gratefully accepted Ok thats it for now

I've developed what you might call a Mother's ear when it comes to Tasha. I can tell from the other end of the house if she's chewing on something that isn't a toy. This morning I heard chewing sounds that had a distinct jingle and I know of no jingling toys currently in the house so off I go to investigate.
Sure enough, the street princess was having a go at a PAIR OF SCISSORS!!!!!! When I told her NO she starts to run through the house. Yes, My. Dog. Runs. With. Scissors. Thankfully, she did not put an eye out. Less than an hour later, I could see her laying on the dog couch chewing, but no noise at all, that's not right so off I go to investigate. She is happily chowing down on a SMELLY OLD CIGAR BUTT. WTF, where are her taste buds???? This cannot possibly be normal.

Andy, Is it Mutt Mutt the poodle?
If so, I will definitely sponser another dog. Once we get to see more pictures, I will gladly pick another dog. If it is not Mutt Mutt, then I will still keep sponsoring him.

...Our Odie was interested in everything in the house when we first got him but you wouldn't believe how good he truly was. He'd walk by an open wastebasket and pick up some used kleenex, or casually grab a sandal or sock from the floor, but as soon as we said 'no', he'd drop them and walk away. These days he's (almost) a poster child for "good boy", but now and again he has a go at newspapers we forget on the floor. We keep him and Darcy amused by supplying charity shop stuffed animals to shred! Caroline |

Thanks for the reminder about charity store stuffed animals. I completely forgot about that... and I love that idea! I hope your summer is going well Caroline. You are missed here in Playa! |
