What wonderful kids you have Ginger to be so generous and caring, a huge thank you to Kelsey and Jorden for thier kind offer of help, and the hard work they will be doing for all the pups at the shelter, we are really grateful to them for this.
My daughter Holly who is 12 is planning to involve her school friends in some fund raising ideas too, she is planning to ask he teacher if the class can adopt one of the older dogs which is a lovely idea.
Aint kids great

I need to apologise to some wondful people, i have just discovered that my thank you replies for thier kind donations via paypal may not have been recieved, im sorry a mistake on my part, i assumed i could just reply to the emails generated from these donations but it appears they may not (if any) have all gone through.
So just in case you did not get any acknowlegment from us for your wonderful gifts let me now say ....Thank You from Jen and I and all of the pups and kittens you have and continue to help .

Easy to Donate

Thanks for posting the PayPal link, Tommy. I just made a donation and it was very easy. The Peanut Pet Shelter will be getting our "change jar" donations from here on out. If you have a PayPal account, this is a great way to help the animals in Playa who need our help.

I have my own rescue organization, and I know how expensive and heartbreaking this type of work can be. But, once those dogs find their new owner and are loved unconditionally, it's soooo worth it!

Kudos to Andy & Jen, and KUDOS to everyone who is supporting them and MAJOR KUDOS to the adopters!

Hi Ginger,

We just brought our uber-cutie-rescues Darcy and Odie back home to Ontario and the process is the same as for the states.

One canuck to another, something to know for the future: Air Canada is waiting for approval to stop transporting pets on int'l passenger flights, so give that a thought as to alternative airlines from your area. (We've already booked for winter 2008 as they will honour existing reservations when the rules change.)

Cheers,

Caroline

Andy,

I added a photo of Peanut to the beginning of tommy's first post.

I would have also added a link to the video of him scooting about on his makeshift wheeled pet-chair you made for him, but the link is gone...

Carry On Andy!
Best to Jen.

Here is a short video (if this works) of the photoshoot...

It was very upsetting today to be forced to turn away a stray for the first time, we are full to bursting here now and we so desperately need to find new loving homes for some of our guests or to raise enough to build some of the planned new kennels .

It works! Good to hear you and Jez chatting. Thor is very photogenic as is the little white puppy with black markings.
I am so sorry that you could not admit that stray. Hang in there Andy. Kudos to you and Jen for doing such fantastic and much needed work.
