Laura is a GREAT person. She is amazing, I went to her house once, and she has this room where she keeps all the kitties, gives them medicines, looks after them with SO MUCH LOVE. She is Andy and Jen version for cats...she is adorable, and its amazing all the love she puts with each and every kittie.

Yes, she is a dear heart, isn't she! And I just love her for everything she is doing to control the cat population. Unfortunately, other commitments kept me away from the Dog Wash this past time, again. But I promised Laura that when I am able to, I'll be there to help in the position of Cat Wrangler!

Anybody going to Club Yebo soon? There is a cat that hangs out there that became adopted cat. I'm not sure where he perched, but he always ran out to greet me and see what I brought for him. I named him Fernando. Still would like to see if he is there.

Just a little update on Day-Z, (Sorry no pics yet as I have pnemonia and am on strict bed rest.) The trip to the airport , checking in, security and boarding easy. Day-z enjoyed firstclass and slept most of the way. Had a 5 hr layover in Memphis tho and she needed to get out, the only place to walk her was way outside of our gate so Josh and I took turns, ( they wouldn't allow us in the presidents club either) We arrived in Dallas and Day-z got to meet her new daddy. Jeff was shocked but fell in love as soon as she licked his ear and cuddled in his arms. Gracie (my sheltie) and Bella (Jessie's Bichon) were both standoffish, but Oreo (josh's cat) found a new play buddy (Oreo thinks she's a dog anyway) They all get along well and now I have 3 dogs and a cat sleeping in my bed keeping me company and entertaining me as well. Thanx to Jenn and Andy for all that you do. I just got a whole buch more love in my home!

Sorry all for being awol, just been a little busy lately, just got back from the vida clinic at Peurto Morales, sadly there was not the hoped for turn out but the vets have done an amazing job this trip fixing around 400 cats n dogs.

Marissa thank you so much for your lovely post and sorry i didnt thank you earlier, muchos , muchos gracias also for your fantastic donation, and that gors out to everyone who so kindly donates to help us look after the animals.
We took four abandoned dogs from this years clinic although one we are hoping will soon be off to the US and 2 days ago someone stopped by with two little pups in a box, so i think the unoffical tatal is around the 80 mark, but good news on the adoption front, three of the large puppies already have homes when they are ready to go and a guy came by testerday who has a large ranch near Tulum and he is looking to take at least 2 of the older dogs

Andy,
Always happy to help when I can.

Please get the website up and running! I want to see the faces of the dogs. Hear their stories! And get some cyber adoptions going!

She is also in the process of traping and spaying ferrel cats and has done48!!

I'll share some of the photos of the 11 kitties that still need homes:

Toby, Tommy, and Tyler

ACK!!! I missed this yesterday! I. WANT. THEM. ALL!!!!! Every single one of them! If I even tried to do what Laura does, I would be the ultimate crazy cat lady in two weeks. I freakin LOVE those kitties!

We would have to live next door to SuzieQRoo if she becomes the crazy cat lady because when I showed daughter Erin this photo, she renamed the babies immediately - Holmes, Watson and Moriarity! We have their cousin, named Poppy who was sold to us as a Bengal X kitten. She is six months old......good thing we don't live closer it would be very difficult to not have these little boys. They are so cute!
Their Canadian cousin baby photo showing similar tummy spots:

and a little older Poppy

A Troy close up .

Some very sad news, the brand new mom was sadly killed by a snake yesterday
(
the builders have promised to catch and kill it) which left ius with the huge problem of six newborn babies with no mom, but thanks to Martha the mom of the big pups that is all under control, she is feeding them and they should all be ok

Ok, I popped by the dog wash today ( amazingly people-less), to bring some towels and just wanted to ask andy at the door and hand them over, as i came from work and was wearing white trousers and my sisters (she does't know i'm using her clothes) nice, indian white shirt. of course i ended up washing/drying the pups. PEOPLE, YOU HAVE TO ADOPT ONE. there is a whole bunch of pups, all sizes, colours, shapes ( yes, some are pear shaped due to the fat belly). YOU CAN'T NOT TAKE ONE HOME. I was actually tempted in asking if we can do exchanged ( like I drop lil rose there, adieu my baby), and get another one, but then i thought that I love her toooooo much. THEU ARE THE CUTEST!
I had fun, finally relaxed ( animals have this effect, I should drop the sleeping pills and gate 45 dogs) and BROKE my sisters beloved shirt but it was a real joy to be there. I'm tehre next saturday too ( with my shirt)

No people at the dog wash! I'll be in Playa on October 4th and am planning to go to the dog wash. I hope there is one that Saturday!
