No, ours came from our local Humane Society!! I am known
as the Chihuahua lady there I have adopted over 5 Chihuahua's from them!!! But not any more!!! Our next dog is from PPS!!!!! You never know they might get one there?? When we were at the dog wash in March they had the cutest pug/chihuahua I ever saw, just a puppy!!!! Then I bet Chad could not resist bringing one home!!!! You need to put some pics of your babies on your profile!!!

That's true...there could be one there next time. I still have my eye on Bambi, though. (Chad would be convinced more easily of bringing home a labrador...that is what our other dog is--the 11 yr old. He loves the big dogs---even though my pug weaseled her way into his heart)
"The chihuahua lady"...too funny!

Sorry to be a latecomer, but where are you located? We're coming down next month and would love to visit. Since last August, we lost two cats (Siam and Tripod). Siam was a "toughy", who lived with a paralyzed ear. Tripod was another "toughy" who lived with, you guessed it, three legs! In March, we lost THE LOVE OF OUR LIVES, Beatrice. 16 years with our "Angel" was not enough, but we still love her as much as we did when she laid next to me watching TV. We would love to see your place and share he love of animals which we share!

What a cute dog, I'm so sorry for your loss, it's always just heartbreaking. You have wonderful memories of her and the comfort of loving her with all you had. If you decide to adopt, the PPS is the place to go to give another dog a chance at a great life with wonderful loving parents like yourselves.

Man I've loved Bambi from afar for ever, I can't believe no one has adopted her. I also loved Patch and at least 3 other current dogs on the site, including Tara who is a spitting image of my dog Charlotte.

I would suggest you attend the weekly Peanut Pet Shelter Dog Wash which is held every Saturday. Shuttle is provided in front of the Mega at 12:00 pm

You can PM Andy and Jen or send them an email through the website Peanut Pet Shelter - Playa del Carmen and let them know when you want to come by.

We had a great dogwash day yesterday. We were very pleased and proud to be included as part of the MARVET 2009 educational tour. 17 student vets and their 3 tutors washed dogs, de-ticked and gave shots. We had several other new visitors too and in spite of the on-off rain, it was a really fun day. It was a great day for the guys too as the students were all young, female and extremely attractive!

Jen giving the vets the lowdown on the shelter

Giving rabies vaccinations

Bath time and tick picking

Some of the girls

The Marvet 2009 group (oh and Liana too)

Some of the girls relaxing

Thank you again Marvet for making wash day a special one for us.
