My own pup had not been feeling well, so - I'm just getting caught up on this new thread now.
Of course I want to 'e'adopt Thor. Until I can bring my husband to visit and he falls in love with the pups, too. I'll keep my fingers crossed! |

I am happy to announce we have our very first "e-pet" adoption, Shamrock has kindly offered to become Thor`s long distance sponsor......
He is such a sweet natured dog considering whta he must have been thru, he has responded well to his treatments and is now in near perfect health, next is the "op" which will also control his high testosterone levels .Anyone interested in choosing a dog to take under thier wing with the e-pet adoption scheme please feel free to pm me for more details ![]() We will be taking 10 of the dogs and pups to be spayed and neuterd this week a bit of a daunting task but as the charity Vidas is in town for 4 days we are going (at thier request) to take advantage of thier generous services, i will be doing an airport-Playa shuttle for some of the vets when they arrive and allo offering my spare time to help with de-ticking etc. .. |

Yayyyyyy!!!!!!
I knew Thor could be 'mine' somehow! Andy - I'm so excited about this. You know, I really don't know anything about Thor's background. Maybe, one day when you have some extra time (LOL) you can fill me in. (Only if you think I can handle it!) I hope I get to meet you in person, Thor! The only thing I wish more than that - is for you to find a loving forever home because you deserve it! WE LOVE YOU THOR!!! ![]() |

Okay. call me nuts, but I want to see pictures of the kitty cats! I'm giving myself away - I'm a cat-person. Probably greatly outnumbered,I know, but....show me the kitties!

Ok so the current total is now.....(drum roll.....) 17 dogs....and 2 cats
.We went to pick up a lovely lab cross last night who was starving and has terrible sores over most of her body, despite this she is so loving and gentle, she has spent the night at the vets and has been given a thorough medicated bact and has her first batch of meds, Suzi as we have decided to name her is around 18mths old and will stay in quarentine for about a week until her sores are healed to save further infection.... .. Paco has taken five of our cats the tiny 5 week olds will stay at the vets as he has a fantastic record of kitten re-homing, many many more people will see them than would if they were here, and in return we will take dogs from him to stay at the shelter. .. Big day tomorrow as the first batch of spay and neuter candidates are of to get thier ops.. Vida has set up (as they do regularly) a free clinic for stray`s and poor families to get thier dogs fixed, we will be taking around 13 to be done and the first 6 will go in the morning and while they are being operated i will be picking out ticks ( i hate ticks..bleuch !!!).. On the good news front three of our fellow playa peeps have offered to sponsor a dog, these will be the first of our E-Pets and i am so happy to announce that Ellie will be one of them.... Thank you so much ![]() ..... Ok thats it for now off to the vets again for some more meds, i just want to thank everyone who has so far given so generously to help us do what we do. .. Muchos gracias from the Peanut Shelter animals ![]() .. |

Opinions will vary on this one, but our vet told us because our puppy was a larger breed (redbone coonhound) that we should wait a bit longer than 6 months, to 8 or 10 months to allow her to grow as much as possible. He did say to spay her before her first heat if possible, however. I know that the SPCA here in Edmonton spays puppies as young a 3 months. If it were me I would be inclined to spay Rosita sooner rather than later, because there are so many un-neutered dogs in Playa - just to avoid an accidental mating. I'm sure you will make the best choice for Rosita!
