Mo what can I say "THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN" when I got back to work I told Dr Ward he is really excited!! He said that is where he fished before and really liked it!!! I guess the next step is to PM your hubby's email address and we will try to get them to set some dates!!! I am sooooo excited if we can pull this whole thing off!!! Is there a place at the new PPS location that he could spay/neuter??? what about all the supplies needed to preform them?? I asked Dr Ward if he would need to take his surgical implements and he said no, he would need to leave them at the hospital for the other doctors to use so I guess what I'm asking are these items available to use there??? like what do all the other doctors use at the Vidas clinic???? Thanks again Mo!!!! xoxoxxoxo Kelly

The Fishing Trip part was easy-peasy! Indeed, much planning & coordination will need to be done for a Spay Day (location, equipment, promoting & organizing people to bring animals that need to be sterilized). I'll admit... I got excited knowing the fly fishing part was a given. In fact, the boat & guide were to be my belated Christmas gift to Joe. Dr. Mark would be his guest/fishing buddy. I did not look at the big picture. This may very well need to wait until the Clinic is built or at least until other resources can be explored. FYI, the Vidas Organization transports all their equipment including anesthesia machines. It is a very well coordinated, but complicated program. Another possibility is... that Dr. Mark provide exams/doctoring for the PPS' four-legged residents. This along with his professional medical advise would certainly be an incredibly, valuable contribution. Ultimately this is all up to the PPS board. I'm just a volunteer...albeit an overly-enthusiast one at times...ha,ha!! So fishing trip done deal. By the way, they would spend one night at the lodge as it is quite a distance from Playa. Sorry I didn't think this through, but I do see where something wonderful can come of this idea/exchange. You're the BEST Kelly!! Maureen |

Vet told me he talked to their person who orders medications/supplies. The good news (for us) is that the drug companies are no longer taking back meds from the offices when they are close to expiring or expired. He said they would start saving stuff for us. I'm going to call them next week to see if they have anything. Then, I'll try to check in with them monthly. I am going to go to other vets in the area to try to get more help. Keep your fingers crossed![/quote]
