I'll start with I'm sorry, and maybe it's not my place, but the at the end of the post almost makes it seem as though you are being sarcastic about Coco's offer, it just doesn't come off right imo.

Holy cow where do I start!?!?!
First off, what great news about Bethany/Ella!! ![]() Kelly, you are amazing!! And yes, I too had tears in my eyes reading through all of the pages to catch up.So sorry to hear about the 2 pups who did not make it. Fantastic on the $8K for the new clinic!!! ![]() ![]() Chewy is adorable; Conan is fitting so well with his family..and Taco - QUIT FEEDING HIM SO MUCH DUCK!!! ![]() ![]() Okay, now because my parents are so wonderful, they still took care of Riley while we were playing at the El Dorado Maroma. We don't think he had any seizures while we were gone. But...on Sunday night (as storms were rolling through) he had one at 10:15pm. We had him come into our room for the night which consisted of a lot of pacing (difficult when his back legs weren't working too well - so we were pacing with him, heaving his big butt around! ). He finally settled down and we woke at 3 to him having another seizure on his bed in our room. Luckily both of them were not as severe as the first one (he did not loose control of his facilities shall we say...). I called the wonderful Dr. Linderman on Monday to make sure we were doing all that we could and he said that because of his back leg troubles on the Phenobarbital that we shouldn't increase it so we are doing pretty much all we can.So, last night we were grilling pork tenderloins (my parents were still here until this morning) and Riley insisted on coming out on the screened porch. Well, soon it was time for him to do his 'business' and he flat out refused to come into the house so I could take him out the front (2 steps vs. 8 out back). So, we opened up the door to the screened porch and he pretty much bounded down the steps like he used to. After taking care of a few things he had to go around the pool about 3 times (looking quite longingly like he wanted to jump right in - thank goodness Alan was between him and the pool! ). He ran right up the stairs (first time he hasn't needed boosting of the back legs since the first seizure over 2 weeks ago). So dinner was ready and we are all in the dining room (remember parents were here - that is why that room gets used!) and he came in and looked quite odd, almost dizzy. His back legs gave away and his eyes seemed like they were shifting back and forth really quickly. We got him laying down and Alan said "get a piece of broccoli". So I grabbed on and he put it about 4 inches from Rileys nose - BAM just like smelling salts he was back with us . We gave him some of his food, a couple of pieces at a time so he had to think about it and figure out how to eat without shooting across the floor and he didn't have any other issues all night.Today was his first day by himself all day since the first seizure and I was a very worried mama. He is doing great. He was up here on the couch with me for a while and for the past half hour has been laying on his bed (yes he has about 6 in the house!) in the living room chewing on a nylabone...and rolling on his back on the wood floor. Hopefully things keep going well and we start getting our Riley back (the spark is coming back in his eyes). Oh, now he has started petitioning for TREAT TIME which is in 15 minutes!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I am sorry that I have been MIA for two weeks while in Mexico and then visiting with my parents! Missed you all ...and Jan, no hard feelings about your winning the trip (though the drawing WAS just 2 days after my 40th b-day! CONGRATS!

Dr. L is hoping that when we recheck Riley's thyroid in 45 days we can start weaning him off the PB. We will probably always need to keep it on hand just in case...
A TR, well, no pictures were taken (seriously we don't even bring a camera with us anymore!) and it was such a short trip that consisted of relaxing, drinking, catching up with my great friends from college and drinking...oh wait, I already said that!

No sarcasm intended, we had our vet friend down here recently who operated on 40 plus of our animals and others of less well of locals that needed the op, he has now returned to the US and until our clinic gets under way next month we have no vets here, so as i said we would be very grateful to take Cocos offer up and get the new girls done so as we can have them ready for adoption ![]() But thanks for pointing out that there may have been some confusion as to my comment
