The vets and students , all 25 will be arriving at the house at 9am tomorrow (they plan on returning tues and weds) the students are going to be split into pairs and each will be given a dog, they will then give each dog a full check up including, bathing, skin scraping and poop test to look for parasites etc, they will also be taking blood samples, and then each pair will assist the Cornell proffesor in the spay or neuter.. its going to be a long few days but hopefully a great experience for the students and for Peanuts.
The plan is to run similar clinics at least 4 times a year giving many vets to be valuable experience and helping us with our spay and neuter programme.

On thursday the dogs from Akumal will start arriving which will push an already full shelter to its limits and we should also be recieving 5 young cats also from Akumal sometime this week.

Dont forget the latest holiday give/away is still running and this one is open to anyone , anywhere in the world, with the possibility of a one week stay at the beautiful Luna Blue, airport transfers and $1000usd towards the flights, all for the price of a bag of food,

This is just amazing. I really can't wait to see the photos. What a valuable experience for the students and dogs too!!!
I can't imagine what your house must look like now!!! So how many total were in your house!!
I wish I could be there to help!!!!

Andy and Jen, I wish we could be there to help out too! We WILL be there the first Sat. of September and will help in any way possible!! When we went to get Riley's thyroid re-checked, Dr. L said that he was collecting a bunch of stuff for us again to bring down. Hopefully we will have smooth sailing through customs again

I have to share with you guys what I received in the mail from Kelly this weekend....

Kelly sent 3 little outfits for Candy and she also sent a little collar that belonged to her sweet little Prissy (who passed away last month) for Candy as well. Prissy was adopted and she wanted to pass the collar to another adopted Chihuahua.

Not only will Candy be the most fashionable Chihuahua around, she also has the best Aunt Kelly!!!!!

Andy/Rick - hoping the rain clears up for you all and wishing you the best for a successful clinic this week. This is so awesome!

Gary - Glad to hear you have been getting some practice with the poop picking up. Rick is really glad you are almost back! And so are we!!

Trish and Kelly - Yup you two are a bad influence on each other... that little pup is one spoiled princess!

Kelly - I don't go until November, so if you still have stuff at that time, then I will gladly mule some stuff.

Great news about the vet and students coming down! I'm only going to be a senior this year, but I plan on either going to a junior college near by for Vet Tech and then onto Pre-Vet and then Vet, or Pre-vet then Vet. So I doubt any vets or professors and students around here would be able to come down as a group like you have planned. But, if you still have the groups coming down when I'd be qualified enough to participate, I'd absolutely LOVE to maybe like join a group! So I will have to keep in touch with that if you guys(Andy&Jen)don't mind
