The local rescue groups here will not adopt out animals near xmas due to that!

Couldn't have said it better.
I will never understand why people feel that animals are dispensable.

I would love to take Bobby, but fear we don't have enough room for him. I don't think it would be fair. Hope someone picks him up.

On a side note, I am working on the wife and hope to be adopting one of them, soon.

Is your yard quite small?? That is probably OK, as long as he gets walks too. I wouldn't let a small yard/garden area discourage you from getting a bigger dog, if that's what you would like. Bobby is sweet and (not trying to stereotype but...)labs are traditionally so good with kids! Keep working on your lovely senora!

Thanks for considering an adoption, that would be fantastic
Although if you manage to persuade your wife on taking one we do have some small dogs too

Just doing a little catch-up on your thread. Good to hear things are starting to roll for you. Such a fine thing you are doing.

Filled up a gallon Ziploc with kitty toys today (Eli helped me pick out the best ones).

Can't wait to visit Peanut's Place and come away with lots of doggie slobber on my face. While I might come off as a strictly a crazy cat lady, 'tis not entirely true. I grew up with a beagle/cocker spaniel mix named Willy who slept with me nearly every night of her 15 years. I WUV doggies too!!!
