Your aunt isn't from Hillside, is she?? The house they grew up in had only one bathroom for most of his childhood, until they built on an addition and added one more bathroom! Yes very devout Catholics, and believe that children are a gift from God. They are all college graduates, my husband has a Masters, and most have large families of their own. One brother has 7, 3 sisters have 4, and the rest have 2-3.
Not for me, but this family was certainly made for it.

Just a wild guess, but JIM BOB might not know what's causing it.

When I had my partial hysterectomy, I kept thinking about women who have C-sections. Holy SH*T. I don't have children, so I have no clue...but the incision and those muscles that were cut through was enough to freak me out. I have very high respect for women who have had C-sections.
Raising that many kids....I guess my aunt was lucky and her kids are taking very good care of her. I remember her having incredible patience with them, but she was tough at discipling also...I didn't mess with her.

They are from Elmhurst (sp) - but your hubbys family sounds like my Aunts family.

I spent two weeks with them one summer when I was 12 and you just sort of "found" a place to sleep at night.

All of her kids really look after her now - she does not want for anything.

I had a C section first and THEN I went the pushing route. The C section nearly killed me (literally) and there was NO way I was doing that again, no matter WHAT. They had to pull poor Sean out with salad tongs (my husbands version)!

They do all of their shopping at Goodwill or buy things on sale (remember no credit cards) - and they have this big community closet in their house and everything is organzied by color, size, type of clothing, looks like a department store.

Maybe they should stop screwing or (without sounding to crass) she should learn to swallow . , as hard as it is to raise kids these days they must be crazy. Why don't they get dogs or cats or better yet, adopt kids that need a good home. Damn, it is hard enough for me to take care of me. I never wanted kids and never had kids, and that is just fine with me. I can do what I want, when I want, and how I want, and where I want, whenever I want .

Elmhurst is not far from Hillside.. They are wonderful people. My MIL is 73, and still golfs three times a week, and never misses a family BD Party, Baptism, Graduation, etc...They will always be taken care of, if the time comes. I will probably have to rely on one of those 90+ nieces or nephews that I am lucky enough to have, and buy gifts for now.
