I just thought "ho hum" was a very condescending, dismissive and rude response to a very thoughtful and informative post about a very important subject - I reacted accordingly (or so I thought!)

Oh, I wasn't saying it wasn't a meaningless and unnecessary 'contribution' to the thread, not at all; in fact I think the word I used was 'silly'.
It's just that it's usually better to ignore the bait than to take it, in the long run. Right? Then there wouldn't have been any little nasty spats at all, and hence, no 'meanness'.

No, I don't know the girl, really-no spillage here- I just noticed the irony and I can never resist a sarcastic comment myself! I am a smartass, after all.

Ginger- I know. And yes, it does seem like people are bitchier than usual lately. I even made a post last week about it myself, and Daddy B cheered me up by posting my siggy to remind me.

I think it's just a matter of 'tis the season and all. Spend spend spend, broke broke broke, hangoverhangoverhangover, 'sheesh I gotta be nice to my Uncle Joe for a whole day, Ugh.' type of thing.

It seems to be fairly cyclical around here. I can do a search and find a number of threads (remember that one you started Taps? About the 'cranky pants peeps'?) Forum grumpiness is nothing too unusual, it'll pass.
