Bill and Gail's Trip Report 7/10 -7/18 2007 Finally

Finally here I go with our trip report. Two days early from departure here I am in my backyard paradise in the hammock....thinking....very soon.

Please be patient with me as this will be my first attempt at a trip report. We did not take many pictures of food, but did of places we ate and drank so we could not forget for our next trip, which cannot come too soon.

Do you think I was cold on the plane. My husband always wants exit seats so he could have more leg room. Yep, my BBQ chips....I allow myself when on vacation. I love them so.....

Oh and don't you love my neck rest.

Okay I am going to post this so I can make sure I am doing everything correctly and will continue later.

So far so good!!! You left that backyard to go on vaca??? I know, I know it's not the same.... but your yard looks sooo great!!!

Perfect flight. Got in the wrong line through immigration

and took a while but it only made us more thirsty...no problem...we are on vacation.

Also got a Green Light and passed up all the time share sales.

Our taxi was waiting right outside and stopped and we bought him water and us well......u can see.....

Our taxi driver...very nice guy

We are close.....coming to Hotel Playa Maya on the beach

When we got to Hotel Playa Maya the room was ready, but there were problems with the air condition and the hotel had already set us up with a different room for the night. Air conditioned would be fixed the next day. No problem...we are on vacation!!

Put everything in one of the rooms, got in cooler clothes and headed down the beach for our first drink on the beach b/4 dark. So relaxing...

One of these days A'ndrea, it would be nice if we were able to share the same stretch of beach and sun on one of our trips down.

And the sights and sounds of a night out until dawn...mebbee....

Great start!!

Can't wait to read more!! We stayed at Playa Maya just last month. Didn't you just love it! The first thing we did at the airport was grab a beer as well!

Since Bill is at the ZZ Top Concert at the Orleans tonight I will try and post a few more pictures b/4 saying goodnight.

First night of course we had to go to the Beer Bucket for a few, but being hungry we soon had to figure out where to eat.

Went to La Tarraya on the beach. Wanted to eat there but it was getting late and once we sat down to eat, we got the distinct impression from the waiter...it was late and he was tired or just in a bad mood. We had a beer and continued our journey for something to eat the first night. We would try there again, just hit a bad and late night it appears.

On 5th, this is where we ended up to eat the first night. I believe it is Karen's. It was very good and very reasonable.

They were JUST here Thursday for the Rally in Sturgis....
