I stumbled across this board while doing research on AIs in the Riviera Maya area, and have found it helpful. My travel agent informed me that several properties we were originally looking at are booked for April, which left us with three choices: Aventura, Grand Xcaret, & Secrets. I think I've been making myself crazy trying to pick the "right" resort; although, I know that we'll have a great time no matter where we choose to go. Some of the reviews on this board and on tripadvisor have made me a little nervous - with regard to all 3 places. DH and I seem to be leaning towards Secrets at this moment....I do like having a beach when I go away! The reviews lately seem to be much more positive, so that's a little more comforting.
