Kinda kewl.
Did you do it for Playa? I'd prefer not to believe what it says.

Nope....my feeling is that it's currently too far away to believe anything it might say.

Ok, now I had to go back to check. I used Coz since Playa wasn't on the list. But I stand by my original comment above.

Results for Cozumel, Mexico (20.44N, 86.93W):
The approximate Closest Point of Approach (CPA) is located near 18.0N, 78.0W or about 607.0 miles (976.9 km) from your location. This is corresponding with the 120 hour position of the 5-day forecast (Monday, August 20 at 11:00AM EDT).

Just for 'fun'... If the storm would continue on this track, the extrapolated closest point (X-CPA) is estimated at 20.2N, 87.0W or about 13.8 miles (22.2 km) from your location, where it can be in about 155.6 hours (Tuesday, August 21 at 10:36PM EDT, be aware that this location is not part of the official forecast and is prone to large errors)

Um... thanks, Shams. If this keeps me from doin' Didny, I'm gonna be pissed! (Okay, okay... I won't blame you. )

When you're going to Playa during the low season you're taking your chances when it comes to rain. Of course the same thing applies to the high season too.....old mother nature can screw up your vacation only if you let it. We'll be doing three weeks in 08 so with any luck we'll get a few sunny days.

That is a really neat site, I am a weather tracker at work (commercial roofing).
Taken from the "Pueblo Sacbe" threads the
lat: 20.700937 / lon. 87.062006
given by Bill B., the forcast is very close to what Shammy did.

The 5 day cone forecast shows it heading towards the Playa area. Just spoke to my daughter, she's heard about it already, they are stocking up just in case!

It is way too far away to tell yet, people. Only two of the computer models show it coming our way. Let's just do this and relax. mmmkay?
