Hello From Los Angeles
Hello Group:
First time poster. While searching over the many areas in and around Cancun, I found PDC, and then I found this message board. My wife and I wanted to find a place that had a mix of the AI/luxury feel of Cancun, but the rustic, "away from it all" of Tulum, thus we found PDC. We already have our plane tickets for the end of Sept to beginning of Oct, but we have not found a place to stay. We settled on two resorts, The Royal at PDC and the Shangri La. We are leaning towards the Shangri La because of its landscape and decor. However, I would really like to not have to pull out my wallet every minute or two that I want a drink. For those who stayed at the Shangri La, did you go to town and bring back drinks to the room. How expensive are the drinks at the Shangri La? I mean if it is just a few dollars that is ok, but $4-5 like here in LA for a beer, forget it. How are the rooms there? They say ocean view, but does this mean a "sliver" of a view or a "peak around the corner" view? Or does anyone suggest the ocean front? Thanks a ton. We are leaving in a month. Regards, |

hola Johnny, welcome to the forum........can't answer your lodging questions directly, but if you go to the "search" function, "advanced" mode, type in "Shangri", and select "search titles only", you'll get tons of info about Shangri-la....if you still have specific ???'s after that, start a thread in the General forum
