things they advertise on tv
Today while on the computer I am watching a little tv. They were advertising a product for stool softener.
I mean do they have to go talking about stool softener? What subjects do you think that advertisers could avoid selling on the tube? |

Most guys would say tampon commercials and most women would say erection commercials. I guess I would have to go for car commercials(local ones). Those are the worse!

Took me a little while on this one becuase there are so many silly things to advertise. But here's mine. I see commercials all the time promoting abstinence only, but I never see commercials about condoms and rarely about the day after pill or birth control. They are obviously directed at teens, who are probably not going to be abstinent and might be fearful to go buy condoms, especially since they aren't advertised. Yet something else to thank the Bush Administration for.....

What about the pill for restless leg syndrome.......that has the side effects of " causing you to fall asleep during regular activities such as driving"
![]() ![]() ........and may increase the impulse for increased sexual activity and gambling

Sometimes it's not so much the product as the ridiculous rules the ad creators face about what they can and cannot say about the product.
I worked on the ExLax account for a while, and you couldn't say, or insinuate, that using ExLax would make you feel better. You try! I agree with others that the ED ads and adult diaper ads could be more pithy. |

I used to live in Japan while I was serving in the US. Navy. Anyways when they advertised they advertised. In other wordsnothing was sacred. I remember going to a resturaunt seeing the huge billboards of people with various types of athletes foot. There was at least 10 different varieties of the athletes foot along with the pictures. I don't think there's anything that could ruin a persons appetite as quick as seeing someone with a huge toe jam problem. With the exception of that cat guy that lerks behind people in Playa. |
