![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() From the wreckage, it looked as if a vehicle had actually been blown into (through) this house: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And with that, everyone, I just don't think I can handle anymore of the horrific photos for tonight. ![]() I am going to leave you with some photos of people and will resume my photo report tomorrow. This family was walking away from the distribution center with their few clothes and a toy for the little boy. The little boy asked me, "Please, will you give me some sweets?" I gave him some cookies, but we didn't have any candy. I told him that we would come back soon and that I would make sure to bring him some candy.![]() We saw these guys working alongside the road. The guy on the far left was standing chest deep in the rancid pool of water in front of him. ![]() We gave them water and I asked him to please be careful of the water, as it was very bad for their health to be in it. We asked to take a photograph and he climbed right out of the water and posed. The guy in the sombrero (a tourist souvenir claimed from the wreckage, no doubt) was embarrassed to be wearing it (though it's really useful when working in the hot sun) and took it off, but put it back on when we assured him the sombrero was just fine.![]()

GAH! I was going to inject some levity into this thread because of how heavy it gets to see all the destruction, but after Tony's last picture, it feels a little bit inappropriate.
Ah, what the hell. I'll be inappropriate. It feels good to smile even when you're sad. Confidential to SarahB: Is this the restaurant you meant? ![]() ![]() Ok, guess what this is, who participated, and which participant won the contest ![]() ![]() You ever get silly when you're tired?

Hmm...hmm...I can imagine this happened after a long drive with no restroom on the road. Or am I wrong?

Thanks, Claudia, Heather, T&C and everybody else. You guys are just so awesome!
![]() ![]() Seeing those pics makes me wanna come over and help or just DO something...Tony, please, do not care about the administrative stuff of the donations. I for my part trust you completely, otherwise I wouldn't have sent money to you. I don't need a written report of how the money has been spent, the pics and reports are already proof that you don't spend it for yourself. Concentrate on the more important stuff (and don't forget you still have a hotel to run ).Andrea Last edited by Andiline; 08-26-2007 at 04:42 AM.. |
