Hurricane Assistance Needed in Majahual ASAP from Playa Folks

Unbelievably, I just filled up two garbage bags with clothes from what I thought was a meager closet...I finally faced the fact that saving "skinny" clothes for when I lose weight is doing me NO favors. And besides, the best thing about losing weight is getting to buy new clothes, right?

I'll be tagging along in the Big Fat Bastard with Tony and Cheri (thanks, guys!) tomorrow morning. We'll be sure to give a full report, with photos.

I'm still available tonight, at a moment's notice, if someone without alternate transportation wants me to come pick up their donations.

We'll be doing our own Sam's & Walmart run tonight. Remember, please drop off any donations at the Luna Blue before 10 pm or send us (or Heather) a PM or email if you need us to come and pick anything up.

We cleaned out our cabinets and came up with an amazing array of non-perishables and other things that will mean much more to the people down south than they do to us. Anyone else?? Come on, it's a REALLY big van!

Also, we have had a wonderful response already on the paypal donations!! I think we're up to $635.00 US so far. Please keep it up. We'll be sure the money is used well & will post with details once we return.

We will be carrying down not only donated clothing but anything that can be assembled today. On Sunday, or maybe Saturday I donated 8 Very Large suitcases of clothes to the Red Cross... My stuff, My husbands, My babies and Donations taken from the survivors of the Hoover Family... Please make sure it gets to those who need it most.. There are also some baby toys.. shoes...personal Hygeine Products.... as well...
