** Yes - the Yucatan is right on the beach next door to the Riu Palace.

** From South to North (toward town) it is the Yucatan, The Riu Palace, Viva Maya, and then the Playacar.

**No the drinks are not watered down...Their beer of choice is Corona (in the mini-bar stock) others are available.

**You can use the facilities at all the resorts with the exception of the Palace. That includes breakfast, lunch and snacks...The beach is RIGHT there for the Yucatan...but don't try to get drinks at the Palace Beach Bar -you must use the Yucatan's Bar...Bring an insulated mug to the beach.

**We tipped 1 USD or its equivalent at each meal...if not a $2 bill - and usually after the first drink order and then after the next FEW subsequent orders...

**You will have no problem finding a lounge chair...which you can drag to the beach shoreline from the Palm Grove...

- At the time of our departure, we left our large unopened insulated mugs...a couple unopened underwater cameras...some unopened candies...and some pesos to the housekeeping staff aside from our daily $2 bill....
