YES..they are. I really don't understand how ND can be bad. It seems like they could walk into any living room in the country to recruit. Obviously, something has dropped off somewhere. Edited for credit of playing tough teams. But, not really in any of those games at all!

[quote=Donny;905897]I'll admit the Dawgs haven't had much good luck vs. the SEC, but I would put the PAC-10 schedule (out of conference) up against anyones.
I like UW's chances against any team now. The Ohio St. game was very encouraging. I hoping with our win at Auburn(85K fans) yesterday that we may have turned the corner. We still have to play at South Carolina, Arkansas, and UK and home games with UT, Alabama and rival Ole Miss. And a OOC game at West Virginia! Hell, Ill take six wins this year after the last few years! Usually by this time I'm looking forward to BB. |

1. It is an elite academic institution. All freshmen are required to take calculus the first semester. Most SEC schools (this is a jab a my husband) only have to be concerned with keeping their athletes out of jail. 2. All athletes must live in a regular dorm. 3. ND is in South Bend,IN. We get snow here, not sun. If you are a premier athlete, a Florida school or USC is hard to turn down.... |

They did. But, you cant blame them for that! Look at the QB's that have gone to UT. Peyton is obviously the most famous and has proven himself in the NFL. But, they've had some pretty good other QB's as well. David Cutcliffe is a very good OC and QB coach. Ole Miss hired him as head coach just to get Eli when he was being recruited. The Ole Miss people were upset Archie's son(Peyton) got away and went to UT. Therefore, they hire Cutcliffe and released him when Eli graduated. He didn't care for recruiting. In fact, Cutcliffe was frirst hired by ND afer Ole Miss but had some health issues and ended up back at UT after a short layoff. Just a little history of QB coaches in the south!

It wasn't a knock on Tenn. I know they have a good program and good QBs. That plus he must have hung around there with them so I would have though he would just go to Tenn. I don't follow it close enough to know who the QB coaches are. But it would make sense to go where the coach could take you to the next level after collage.

Heres a different topic but still pertains to college football. I go to a lot of roads games. I usually attend 10 to 11 games a year. Been as far west as Oregon, Washington, BYU for games and many schools in between over the last 30 years. I know, whenever we have visiting fans(especially not from the SEC), we usually go out of our way to make sure their treated right. Where, as an opposing fan, have you been treated the worst?
