our wedding

Our ceremony is set for June 24th at 5pm. Hopefully on the beach, weather permitting. I will be the one in white, barefoot in the sand. Actually we are renewing our vows a month after our legal wedding here in Montreal. We have no choice to do this here first. I'm kind of lucky. 2 ceremonys, 2 partys in one month. He must love me because he's marrying me twice! In our hearts, our real wedding will be on the beach in Mexico. I'm 47 years old, this is my second mariage and I feel like I'm 20!

Bummer, we leave on the 24th.

Montreal has so many beautiful churches. Which one are you getting married at?

As far as getting an ocean front, e-mail reservations a week before you get there and request it.
Thanks Chris in VT. I can't wait, and I am thrilled to snorkel. I am keeping my fingers crosses on the ocean front though.

Thanks alot to everyone responding to my post. Not to dissappoint anyone but my actual wedding is is Kentucky, but we are definetely going to party down at the Princess, and would love a drink with anyone and everyone. As far as the zipline Sweet I think it looks great, and we will probably definetely do one, but honestely I am scared to death!!! Is it as high as it looks, and do you feel supported.

I wouldnt sweat the ocean fron troom too much. Though it is nice, Most of the time your not in your room and when you are its too dark to see anything.

I will be taking some relatives to Akumal to snorkel with the Turtles and baracuda. We will probably schlep it down on a collectivo. Your more than welcome to tag along.

Chris,
I'm sure some in my group would love to tag along with you to Akumal. Have an idea of what the price would be and would you reserve this excursion before you arrive or ahead of time?

Price? You want me to charge your friends? I was going to take the Princess bus to playa, Hop on a collectivo (20 pesos) hit the beach in Akumal and snorkel. People would need $$ for lunch at Lol Ha, La Buena Vida or the lunchinette at Super Chomack.

They do have excursions you can go on and pay for transport, lunch and snorkel. Thats usually $70-$90

It was a little scary but a BLAST we've done 2 different places and it's not as scary the second time. I would do it again. The last jump at Chikin Ha is pretty high and scary to jump but it is a blast. Some of my group's talking about going to do the Akumal snorkel day like Chris. Come on June

Are they strict about the weight limit? My husband is a big guy, pushing 300. Would they allow him to go?

I don't remember any restrictions but you could possibly e-mail the through this site. Look in trip planning for the info. The 2nd one we did was called Selvatra(sp) out of Costa Rico if I'm remember correctly.

Thank you, that sounds awesome, plus from what I have read our resort is not a great snorkeling beach. We really want to see as much as possible while we are there, but don't want to pay $90 for an excursion that is pretty much mostly travel expense. Such as going to Tulum, and things. We thought about renting a car for a day or two, and if cheap maybe all week. Is that a crazy idea?

Oh my goodness, I was getting ready to respond to your last statement, and glanced at your profile. I am graduating from an Expanded duties dental assisting program in May. How crazy is that, I just started my clinical externship last week. How long have you been in the business. We will have a lot to talk about at the pool bar over a corona.

Not being a good snorkeling beach is also a good thing, no rocks. Soothing sand to get in and out of the ocean. Renting a car is not crazy if you are going to use it. You might be crazy if you plan on driving it

Twenty six years as a dental assistant gotta love it. Started when I was in high school. When are you going to be there?
