Talking Just booked Grand Riviera Princess...

My wife and I and another couple just booked this resort for march 16-23, 2008. I think we got a pretty good deal for 7 nights and the deluxe junior suite, considering we're getting close and that alot of places were pretty much booked. We went through funjet primarily because it was a direct flight from Milwaukee for$1800 per person which I didn't think was too bad. We're very excited that it is brand new and I really liked the maps and layouts of the resort complex. We were either going to go to RIU Ocho Rios in Jamaica or the Grand Palladium in Riviera Maya. We took the gamble on the Princess and hope it pays off!! can't wait to see pics....

Groons, we are stayin a week in a Jr suite deluxe also. Our cost came to just under $1,000 pp with ait from Burkington, VT. Granted March airfare and Hotel are peak travel but we are flexible and enjoy less crowds, thus quieter and less expensive vacations.

Hi,
Just wanted to say how much we appreciate all the info on this forum. We booked the Grand Sunset Jr pool Suite April 30th thru May 5th. This will be our first time in Playa. We stayed in Cancun the last 2 years and while we had a wonderful time, we wanted to try something new this year.
Anyone else going the same time? Looking forward to any and all updates.
Rick and Rhonda

Nugent,
I'm so glad you came over here to post. Lots of people here are going to this resort.
BTW: I am "osparki" at Trip Advisor.

Carole - How would I schedule mtg with GM at Grand Sunset Princess?

Carole,
I am also looking into having a wedding there and will be down for site visits a few days before you. I can't seem to find an 800 number or an email for Grand Sunset Princess but I'd really like to visit the property while I'm there as it would be a great deal for my guests. Could you share the contact info with me?
Also, do you have any information on their wedding and reception packages, pricing, and options?
Thanks!!

Grand Riviera Princess

If anyone is going to the area of the GRP soon and you're able to take and post pics, I'd love to see some! My husband and I booked leaving Toronto Feb. 10th. From what I've heard, it's set for the opening date, but would love to see pics.
Thanks in advance!

Well, my wife and I are risk takers and we booked for January 12th.
We booked through Bellair and have the option of using both resorts.
We are staying at the Riviera.
Im surpised at how many are booked so far in advance. Im scared because both resorts will be VERY new, but, hey, i will be on a beach and drunk so not too concerned.
But, rest assured, i will have hundreds of pictures and a full report upon my return.

Hi Chris, Yep almost neighbors. I go to Pittsfield a couple of times a year to a log cabin the our company owned. I love Vermont and the shopping in Burlington especially with the exchange.
My group ranges from 15 to 60 years old but have quite a few 20 year olds that want to party. What is the age range of your group?

Carole, will you be able to provide us information while you are in Mexico or will we have to just suffer until you get back. Obviously, we don't want you to spend your vacation uploading pictures and answering quesitons for those of us back here in the cold, dreary, wintery part of the world, but any info is more than we have now. Please also suggest to the manager that they get updated pics on their website ASAP.
