Grand Sunset/Grand Riviera Princess? - Page 23

Chris, I think the bus drops off at 5th & Constitutientes. Passengers need to get a ticket from the Best Day tour salesman, located directly behind the Riviera lobby bar. The shuttle runs at 10, 11, Noon, and 1 pm to PDC and 6 pm back. Get tickets early - the day we wanted to go in at 10 am, all the tickets for 10 and 11 am shuttles were already gone by 9 am. We never did use the shuttle, as the taxi was easier and more convenient for $13 each way.

Hey everyone we are heading to GRP on July 6 for our honeymoon. I have read a lot of comments on this hotel and was wondering who has directly stayed at this resort recently. I just want to know what we should expect in regards to all areas of the resort.
I've also read about honeymoon upgrades and was wondering how that works excatly. We are getting married the day before we leave and will bring our marriage certificate. Is their a good chance of getting an upgrade? We'd really like to get one of those rooms that have the pool enterance right off the balcony.
Any info would be great. Thanks for all the posts to read.

My husband and I will be there from June 28 thru July 7...I can't wait!! I really appreciate the posts that all of you have left. We have never been there. It looks and sounds wonderful!!

If you're talking about the shuttle from hotel, the bus drops you off on 5th avenue and Constituyentes.

Remind me of when you guys are going again. I havent been on this site for a while. WE arrive 6/17 for a week, one month from tomorrow!. You'll have a better chance finding me because of my avatar. I guess i could just look for bunch of raucus Canadians or someone getting married on Sat. The kids are all psyched..

Well Hello Chris,
Yes the kids are going crazy! We will be arriving in the wee morning hours on June 21st. Will try not to make too much noise so we don't wake you up. Won't be easy with a group of 55 people. If you guys are up, look for us in the 24hour sports bar. It's down the steps from the lobby, if facing the ocean, it will be on your left. We'll probably want a bite to eat before going to bed.
Sorry for my ignorance but what is an "avatar". How can I recognize you if I don't know what it is? We are actually getting married at 6pm on, Tuesday, June 24th. Maybe my girls will recognize your boys! See ya in Mexico!

WE might be up in the disco early Sat morning who knows. Have you been to the disco? Any impressions?

Yes, I've been to the disco. Seen better, seen a lot worst. The music was good but I didn't stay all night so I can't really comment. One night it was full and the other empty. So I guess it all depends. For sure, your group and mine will have will have a blast!

Was bored at work yesterday and couldn't decide what I wanted for lunch, so I decided to book a trip to Mexico! We used to go every year the first week in June. Been 13 times, hadn't been in about 5 years, though. Staying at GRP. Upgraded to a swim up suite. Anybody else gonna be there at that time? We went on a cruise in April and got on a forum board like this prior to the cruise and really met a lot of great people. We even had a "meet and greet" on the ship for the forum people. Let me hear from you................

We will be at the Grand Princess Riviera from June 10 - 17. This is our second trip to the Riviera Maya area in two months. We were at the Iberostar Quetzal in April.

I guess you should get bored more often, huh?

hey everyone! i'm new to these boards but i'm counting down the days until i'm laying on the beach at the grand sunset princess with a drink in my hand. just thought i'd let everyone know thats going to be there in june to expect a rowdy group of 100 or so of us from pittsburgh to be there from june 15-22! i'm 22, but there's going to be lots of kids, teens, adults, and seniors there as well! we're all looking to have a great time!

Well, please keep in mind those of us who wanted to have more of a restful time. Not everyone that goes to Playa is in "party" mode. That's why some of us stay away from Cancun.
