Have been viewing this site for the last few weeks and just decided to sign on and post...A group of 16 of my girlfriends will be staying at the Gran Porto Real. Wondering if anyone could give me good/bad about things to see and do....

Be sure to wander 5th, and off 5th down 1st toward the pier...
Maybe try a couple of the restaurants/bars or a beach club...

You all should take a look at the trips/tours run via this site - with a fabulous personal touch....you're treated incredibly well and not like part of the herd...

In fact with a number to that scale, your own tour/excursion might be available outside of those on the calendar, etc....

Give it a shot, much better service and a one-on-one type experience well worth it...!

We have 10 of us staying at Gran Porto Real from MN on 1/5-12. When are you going? If already - how was it? Any advice?

Our wedding party all stayed at the GPR last April. My trip report contains mostly pictures from around the hotel.

We stayed at the Gran Porto Real from 9/15 to 9/22. We had a blast. The food was great, as was the service. We had an Ocean Front room, overlooking the pool and ocean. It was great. You're going to have a blast. Be warned though, once you go to Playa, you'll have the fever to return, very bad!!
