The video is not funny; it's inappropriate. I think about his wife and all of the stuff she is going through...his family as well. Craig has never dealt with his sexuality in a healthy manner. He was afraid to come out and chose to prioritize his political career. I am not surprised because the attitude towards gays and lesbians of his generation. And being an Idahoan, that just complicates things for Craig more. So, the guy is in the closet and in a lot of pain because he won't let himself live his life the way in which he wants. Now that he is older...he got busted and he is still trying to convince himself that he is not gay...what a shame...this is very sad. The guy has totally brainwashed himself. Craig's career started in Washington when some "dirty little secrets" were well kept. The old boys clan here in Idaho were going to keep mum about Craig because the guy followed their agenda and got what they wanted done. Plain and simple. Besides this, Craig resigned yesterday...that sends a strong message...so time to back off?
There is my dos pesos, Kirbyfan.
As far as I am concerned, y'all can show what you want on this forum. I am not one to insist that posts be removed...freedom of posting within moderators' parameters....I am fine with that. I will voice my opinion, because when something is posted it is so that we can dialogue. Que no?
Excellent response Sol thank you.

was it not hypocritical for clinton to go to church on sundays after denying his infidelity?
It's gay bashing...and many gay people go to extremes to stay in the closet to protect their jobs. They sit through lunches listening to co-workers make fun of gay people, etc, without speaking up in fear of losing their job. Craig had his reasons, afterall, he was married..like alot of gay people are... this video just proves how tasteless and cruel people are and kicking a man while he is down is disgusting. Maybe if you had more gay people in your life, you would understand how it feels.

What you mean is that Senator Craig (and by extension, I) doesn't vote the way you think he should. You believe in the separation of church and state when it suits your purpose, but you want to force religions and their members to accept gay marriage. Most religions consider homosexuality a sin. Now, you hate the sin, not the sinner. That doesn't mean, however, that you codify the relationship as equal to that of the traditional religious ones.

All men are created equal, until one is beaten up or murdered. Then, we need to check to see if the victim falls into any special category, wherein we can charge the criminal with extra crimes. WTF is that? My life is not equal to a gay man's when it comes to delivering justice?

Even some gay men may see the inherent problems with gay marriage and hate crime legislation. By your logic, all Christians should be against gay marriage. If they aren't, they are hypocrites.

Well, if you are saying as much as ANY of us can be two-faced and hypocritical I would agree with you....barring that, I would say that many would question that which you think "goes without question"....just saying it, thats all.

Craig was not going to vote pro-gay because he is was pretending not to be gay. If he voted pro-gay, he would not be re-elected. In a skewed-sense, he did the right thing. Now, if he were openly gay, then it would look pretty freaking weird to oppose a gay agenda.

I'm happy to discuss all this interesting political stuff on another thread. That's not what this thread was about. I just wanted to share a funny video, not start a round table discussion. If y'all choose to make it that way, go ahead. I can't stop y'all from posting whatever you want (just like you can't stop me from posting funny videos!) For those of you compelled to discuss the morality, ethics, philosophy issues associated with this minute and a half parody video, have at it. Feel free to take this molehill and make as large a mountain as you would like out of it. Have fun!

For those of you who want to INSIST that Hillary IS a hypocrite or that Sen. Craig is NOT a hypocrite, go ahead! Don't let reality stop you! We know it has NOTHING at all to do with y'alls politics. () Just remember, denial is NOT just a river in Egypt! Anyway, I'm sure if there were a strong enough right wing Republican interest in doing so, one of y'all would GLADLY argue for the proposition that the sky is ACTUALLY yellow or green, but NOT blue. As I said, don't let reality stop you on my account!

To everyone else...

Feel free to enjoy this funny video!

Well, if Senator Craig was only STEALING lollipops, it wouldn't have been such a big deal. Its what he was doing with them in public bathroom stalls that made this issue what it is!!!

I'm not surprised, since there were attacks on forum members soon after this thread was started.
