2:00 a.m Labor Day……..woke up outta a dream, got outta bed, stumbled outside onto the porch for a smoke and provided our feral cat Henry with his required amount of attention……. stumbled back inside, found Lil G still awake at the computer so I told her to get to bed ,...... turned off all the lights and the blarin TV and crashed back out……. Lil G came to bed ½ an hour later all frisky and Shiite ...... she managed to wake me up long enough for……..well……...... long enough for me to stumble into the livin room and crash back out on the couch with Elvis ………… coffee maker started brewin some Kona blend at 6:20 so I had no choice but to wake up, pour a cup o java, and start the last of my laundry washin………. Hung out on the patio for a while, drinkin coffee , talkin to Henry Feral, and watchin the deer play along the back fence……. Came to the realization that today is gonna be a great day, should be hangin out with two of my bestest girlfriends within 8 hours or so ……..but……damn I’m dreadin wakin Lil G up in a little bit, she’s gonna be the proverbial TerrBear as Lulu and Donna call her ……..I’m thinking Elvis will get stuck with the “Wakin of Mommy” duties today, I have no desire to be kicked in the balls this early in my vacation ….and Elvis…..well, Elvis hath no balls, so he should survive just fine .
Got all the important loading done last nite (fishin poles and tequila ) so there’s not much packing left to do this morning, just gotta throw some dressier clothes into the bag, load up the coolers with drinks/ snacks/ sandwich fixins, and throw Lil G into the truck…………should be on the road to Houston by 9:30 ..... (or 10:42 Lil G time )
