Road Trippin' w/ SCTX and Lil G !!!

Me and Lil G’s 12th anniversary is comin up on Sept. 9th ,and generally, I like to plan something kinda exciting for Terri……usually, it’s a trip to Mexico, but this year, we have different plans…….. a cross country road trip to Jacko’s North Carolina Peep Meet at Highland Lakes Inn !!!! Two weeks of lotsa drivin and NO WORK!!!

Tomorrow morning, Labor Day, we’ll load up the Nissan and jet down I-10 to Houston to hook up with Lulu and Flash and spend some time w/ my bestest girlfriend TJ ………..I haven’t seen TJ in over 12 years and she just moved from Kansas down to the Texas coast this last week……..she starts radiation treatments for cancer on Tuesday, so I wanna get in some quality time w/ her……… Since we’re stayin w/ Lulu and Flash, I imagine there will be some tequila involved in the Labor Day activities

Tuesday, we drive from Houston to New Orleans where we’ll shack up in the Hotel Monteleone for a night of drinkin and shrimp po’boys on Bourbon Street…….Lil G is hopin we’ll be able to see some ghosts when we get back to the hotel that nite…..I imagine that’ll be a good possibility

..... we are sooooooo lookin forward to our one nite stay in N.Orleans

Wednesday, we’ll head up I-59/I-20 thru Birmingham Al. to Chattanooga, stopping somewhere outside of Birmingham for a picnic lunch. We’ll be stayin in the Lookout Mtn area, but we’ll probably check out the downtown/riverfront area that nite and see if we can meet some of the locals....... Thursday morning, well take the Incline railway up to the top of Lookout Mtn, maybe tour Rock City Gardens, and then back down the mountain …….. from Chattanooga, we’re takin a scenic route on Hwy 64 thru the hills to North Carolina……..if we’re lucky, we might be able to flag down JamesA. And Julie down for lunch as they blow by us in a white Corvette.

We’ll be hangin out with Jacko and assorted Peeps at Highland Lake Inn from Thursday nite thru Monday morning….it’s gonna be a blast fishin, hiking, and drinkin for four days with a bunch of good friends....I'm sooooo lookin forward to have the chance to see Babaloo interacting w/ goats

Looks like Monday morning, we’ll say our goodbyes to Jacko and The Bumpers and head south thru Atlanta down to Gulf Shores to party with our tequila shootin brothers Big Dave and DudeAdam……that’s always a good time

……… from Gulf Shores, we’ll head back to the Houston area to hang out with my friend TJ again for a day or two

.....and then home to San Marcos and the kids.

Barring any massive hangovers or computer crashes, we’ll be postin daily reports as we trip across the southeastern US ……. But for now, I gotta get goin on packin my clothes…....and my tequila

And I am still sad that I can't come to Jacko's and Linda's meet.

Oh good, you're taking care of the trip report. Since our teeeeeny little trip overlaps (gets swallowed up by) your very cool, much more interesting, not to mention way LONGER trip, we'll be content to be the part of your trip that includes the line "and at Jacko's place we met a few new peeps."

Looking forward to meeting you and LilG... although I can't believe I'm going to have to go to NC to actually do it!!
