Trip report Easter Island/French Polynesia
Well, can't believe that I'll finally start my big trip friday afternoon. Have been dreaming of it ever since Christmas... by then I didn't know how much my life would change in the office in between (okay, actually nothing will change for now except the fact that I am working for a different company - so... just a label change
 ). I'll probably be back to Playa next year but this year most of my money goes to what I'll be doing in the 4 weeks to come. I have booked excursions in Santiago de Chile, will go diving on and exploring Easter Island and then I am off to 4 islands in French Polynesia. The first one (after landing on Tahiti) will be Rurutu, a smaller island which is not very touristic but you can go snorkelling with humpback whales there (I only hope the humpbacks remember I booked the tour!   ). Then I go to Moorea where I will go diving (lots of sharks) and exploring the island. After that it's Raiatea where I will be staying in an overwater bungalow (another one of my dreams) and then go to Fakarava. On Fakarava there really isn't much so I'll go diving again there. From there it's back to Tahiti and Santiago and then home...Can't tell you how much I am looking forward to this trip. I will take thousands of pics (yeah, by now I DO know myself... ) and enter stuff to my blog on a daily basis (except for one week at the end where I will most probably not have internet access).You can find my blog here Blog There will be pics in the blog while I am travelling but lots will follow once I am back...
