Room Rate of $200-$120 on beach

New Fusion room rates for high season! Anyone have any information regarding their renovation? We stayed there last February for $70. Just wondering how extensive the renovation was????

Got an email last week from Diana that works there. They are not renovating till April. Where did you get these rates from?

I just got another e-mail from the Fusion. Apparently the first rates I posted are for 09 (after the renovation). The Rates for February 08 are
OCEAN VIEW 140 USD
PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW 120USD
GARDEN VIEW ROOM 82USD
DUPLEX (6 PXS) 140 USD

They did not renovate in 07. So garden room is up only $12 from last year. Not so bad!

We had a great time there last year after Kim left. There were some rough reviews for a while there but great reviews the past few months. I still think the Fusion is a good choice to stay if you're on a budget. We are trying the Alhambra this year to compare. Everyone should make up their own mind.

I stayed at both Fusion and Alhambra this year and loved them both.

Thanks Kathy. That's good to hear. It's getting harder and harder to stay on the beach at a reasonable price. I'm afraid the Fusion may be out of our price range after their renovation. I hope they continue to be the small, quaint place we spent our first trip to Playa at. We have nothing but good memories at the Fusion.

Funny I just got an email from them and they said the rates are
$200
150
120
180
And they didn't even renovate yet. Guess I will keep the accomodations that we have.
Love'd the place last year. Oh well, another one bites the dust.

Search and ye shall find more details!

Personally, I have never stayed there, never ate there, never even drank there. But in deference to some past happenings, I never would either. But that's me - to each his own!
