Canybody remember when a resort in Mexico opened on time?

Chica - you better plan on going back to the Grand!

(And yes, Pyrat is from Anguilla).

I thought it sounded familiar. Boy is that one place I am anxious to visit.

Yes, we are seriously thinking about heading back to the Grand. Just push yours back 1 more month. But seriously, I would love to try s-thing different (if it is as nice as it sounds).

There is another one I heard of ... Valentin Imperial Maya (or s-thing like that). Heard of it?

Don't hold your breath on the Valentin either, that place may never open! I had someone booked there for April 2007, when it was supposed to be open as a family friendly resort called the Valentin La Hacienda. Scrap that and change it all up, now it's going to be adults only but it's still not open. They have it listed to book but you couldn't pay me to book it for a client until the day the first guest checks in - THEN I'll believe it's open. When I went past in June, the front entrance (which is always finished first) was still a pile of rocks. Don't know what it looks like now or if they're making progress but again, I wouldn't book it until it actually opens.

Re: Secrets Maroma - I'll be seeing my Secrets rep in a few weeks and will check on the progress. But I imagine she'll tell me it's currently on schedule to open in May of 2008, although that doesn't mean that it will open - really can never tell.

That Shammy - she always knows the low down.
(A.L. - you don't have to answer that part of my email I JUST sent you).

Bumping!

Shammy, did you ever get any more information from your Secrets rep? We too are wanting to book this resort for October 2008, but information on it is scarce to say the least.
