I guess the taste of food is kind of subjective. If I had to eat at Tacos Israel seven days a week, I'd definitely order the Taco Arabe most of the time. If you really want to fill up, order it as a torta.

My thing about their chorizo taco is the taste of their chorizo compared to others in town. Now, the last time I was there, it didn't taste quite as snappy. Were my taste buds beat up? Was the cook a little off that night? Was it a fresh batch or an day old batch? Anyway, in a few days, I'll redo my taste test and see if their game is still on.

On a side note... about a year ago the colectivo dropped me off at the pickup point on Calle-2 between 15th & 20th Avenue. It was about 6pm and the aroma from a business called Tacos Gomez (still there) was reaching out to me. The torta they whipped together was absolutely incredible, better than the smell that drove me to them. Six months later, I had them on the top of my list to retry. Second time around it was a good sandwich but nothing earth shattering like the time before. Anyone else have these occurrences with food around town?
