For everyone's information: Greco, from the Tequila Barrel, was involved in a very bad accident in Holland on May 14. He is alive and awake but very busted up. Michelle arrived there last week and has sent a general e-mail leting us know that he is improving. Jaime called me at 5:00 am on the 18th to inform me and Mary (my wife) and I chatted on line with Michelle that day but information at that time was spotty at best. But now we know he is slowly getting better but has had bone operations and may not begin attemping to walk for at least two months.

Every one, please think of Greco in your prayers.

wow so sorry about greco...i just gave him a big hug before he left playa for holland....i will be thinking about him every day...please keep me posted...through my email address.....thank you

I just heard from Michelle: Happy news! Greco was actually up and in a wheel chair today! He still has alot of recovery to do but he is one tough hombre and is geting better fast.

Greco has lurked on this forum for quite a while but I don't think he has ever posted. Hopefully we can coax him into changing that. I'm sure we would all like to hear from him. He's been an important part of Playa for alot of people.

I've also heard some encouraging news about him today in an email that was passed around.

I haven't met Greco yet, unfortunately, but made the T.B. "our spot" while in PDC, and think we met his lovely other half...James will probably remember one night...All I can say, is that Linda and I pray that he will recover with no long term injuries or hurts....

I asked Michelle for permission to print this. I should have asked Greco, I guess, but I think he would say "sure, what the hell!"

Hello!
Beautiful weather we are having here.
So, yesterday was a good day. Greco sat in a wheelchair for the first time and was allowed to drink boullion. He is really frustrated that he cannot eat. You know Greco, he loves food. I keep telling him I will put some herring in a blender for him if he wants, but for some reason it is not appealing to him.

He is getting better every day. He can only be in the chair for about half an hour as he is sore and not used to sitting upright on a chair. But little by little every day. Today I will take him outside for his first breath of fresh air in 2 weeks. I am bringing the camera and if Greco and Roland will allow it I will take a photo to send.

Roland says he (Roland) will be discharged from the hospital sometime in the next few days. He is still broken, but apparently does not need to be in the hospital. So that is good news. I am curious about how he will live in his apartment as he is on the 2nd floor. Greco has heard nothing about when he will leave and thinks it will be awhile yet. But maybe we know something next week about that.

So, I just wanted to let you know as this is good news!

Does anyone know how Greco is doing? I understand he is recuperating in Holland, is there an address where he can receive cards?

Greco has been recuperating at his parents' house since June 10, and Michelle is with him. The address is:

According to Michelle, Greco's been improving steadily through physical therapy and is getting strong. She's sent some newer photos than those shown above, but I'll leave it up to James to post them if he wants. I must say that Greco looks great ... and so does Michelle, who says "Please keep the mail coming, as it is very nice to hear from everyone."

Michelle is in town again. Apparently Greco is doing well and planning his return to Playa.

I imagine there will be a big party...
