which resorts are walking distance to 5th ave? last time we stayed at RIU tequila and it was quite a walk. thank you.

Playacar palace is right at the end of 5th next to the ferry. Easy access to 5th and all it has to offer.

Speaking of AI's....Grand Coco Bay is on the north end of town, the Royal Playa Del Carmen, Gran Porto Real, Real Playa Del Carmen, El Tukan Condotel are IN town and the Playacar Palace is on the south end of town. Other than that, you'd be getting into the Playacar area where the Riu Tequila was located, and there are quite a few resorts there with some just a bit closer to town than the Tequila was.

We love Grand Coco Bay,it's an AI, the beach is so nice, very affordable, we like to go into Playa and eat too, very much worth the money.

We have stayed at Porto Real a couple of times. Great place, but don't care for AI. Very nice though, I would stay there.
