Adjoining rooms?

Hi there!
Could someone please assist in recommending some AI's with adjoining rooms?
My hubby and I were down in Playacar at the Tequila...loved it.....want to go back with the kids....all 5 of them.
TIA!!
Jen

There are a few adjoining rooms at the Iberostar Tucan. If not, the resort has always been good about placing us directly next to each other.

Most resorts have a few adjoining rooms but they are given out on a first come, first serve basis at check in. You can not reserve them ahead of time nor will the hotel guarantee that you'll get one. The best you can do is make a note on the booking that you would like adjoining rooms if possible, and then perhaps send an e mail directly to the hotel about a week before you arrive with the same request. If you get there and don't find the room assignments to your liking, you can ask the front desk to make some changes. If they don't have any connecting rooms available, then the best they might do is place you in rooms adjacent to each other.

Ok. I used to work in the hotel biz back in my younger days. Here's a tip for ya--ask for "connecting" rooms. That's what you really want. To hotels "adjoining" simply means side-by-side.
