How have you been? Haven't seen you post anything in quite a while. Too busy diving?

So, is there no way you can make it down for the big Barceló group trip? Sure would be great to party with you again

Anyway, thanks for sharing that picture of me and "Wilson"
Yo Phil,

Been too busy diving, cycling, and maybe a bit of drinking too

No can do in October. But we're looking to rent a villa in April. I'll look for the usual great review and photos!

Too bad you can't make the big group trip. It should be a blast

We'll probably be back in April as well, if not sooner (we're looking at properties this time around so who knows what could happen ). After all, where else can I spend my birthday if not in Playa?

Keep in touch. Maybe we can meet up in April (maybe even at our new Playa home?)

Thanks Manitou

You're absolutely right that there's beauty all around. As I said, one just has to train their eyes to see it.

Although I did have to travel to Playa to capture that shot

Here's one from around Ottawa:

"Zig-Zag"

It's taken from a series of pictures I took of piles of bunker sand delivered to the parking lot of a local golf driving range I frequent.

I loved the lines and the contrast between the sunlit side of some piles and the shadowy sides of the others.

So, yes, beauty is everywhere. Even in parking lots

Thanks!

It's one of my favourite shots. I've had it framed and it's displayed on a wall at the house. Most visitors comment on it.

You know, if you're really interested, I'm sure we could figure out a way for you to also have it displayed on your wall

We just got back yesterday.

I'm happy to say I had another great photo shoot in Playa.

As per some of the peeps suggestions, Nikki and I went to the Ejido. We walked around for a few hours and snapped away.

I think I got some really good ones again this time.

So thanks to those who made the suggestion to visit that neighbourhood

Unfortunately, I had a bit of an accident late in the trip (but after the big shoot thankfully) where my tripod fell over. This resulted in a smashed lens and some damage to the body of the camera. Thank heavens for insurance.

Stay tuned. I should have my new photos up within a week or so.
