Smile Gran Porto Real

My husband and I stayed at the Gran Porto Real Sept 1-8th, 2007. It was our 20th anniversary and our 1st trip to Mexico. A travel agent recommended it. I read everything I could from this sight about it. There was some good and bad. Let me say that pretty much everything I read was true. I appreciate the posts because I think it helped to know about stuff ahead of time, then it didn't really bother us too bad. We had a great time! Our room was beautiful and the food was good. We mostly stayed on the beach and drank margaritas. I loved the AI concept of not having to worry about paying everytime we wanted something. We took advice and tipped everyone. We ate all of our meals at the GPR except when we went over to Cozumel. I wasn't to impressed with the food at La Misson. Maybe next time we will be more adventurus. I didn't see any hotels on 5th that I would enjoy more than GPR.
