Yucatreks tours?
Hi-
I know I am looking into this very early, but I looovve to plan our next trip. I am wondering if the Tulum and Beyond tour would be right for us. We are only going for 4 nights. This will be our 2nd 4 night visit to the area (but on the 1st we did not leave our resort much). This tour sounds nice, but I don't usually snorkel (Husband LOVES it). I sometimes get creeped out swimming with all of the fish. I love watching them from land and am usally content to hang out on shore and watch. I have never been in a cenote and don't really know what to expect. Any advice?? Kim |

Hi Kim! If you're coming for 4 days, the Tulum and Beyond tour might be just perfect for you to get out and explore, since it's a little bit of the "best of" the Riviera Maya. The cenotes don't have a ton of fish, not like you might see in a reef, but here and there you see some small fish. The snorkeling in Gran cenote, imo, is primarily to see the amazing rock formations! The ruins at Tulum are perched on a cliff with a gorgeous view of the Caribbean (I see Tulum pics in a LOT of vacation photos when I research on google). Add a visit to a secluded beach, delicious lunch, and another dip in a different cenote and you've had a full day.

Last Dec. was one of the wettest we’ve seen in playa, but we still had a great time with Mitch on that tour! As Heather said the Tulum and Beyond trip is a great trip. Were headed back for the eighth time soon. Looking forward to Chichen Itza this trip!

Lumkim,
We went on the Tulum and Beyond Tour with Mitch in August. We had the best time. You cannot go wrong in choosing this tour. Heather is right and the first cenote stop(Gran cenote) is full of awesome formations. The smaller cenote was full of fish. We had a great time watching the local kids jumping from the small cliff. The beach in Tulum where we had lunch was unbelievable! The most beautiful beach ever! Lunch was great too! angie |
