Tours in Playa

Hi there, Ive been lurking on this forum for a while now. So much good info and I love reading the trip reports! We are staying at Viva Wyndham Maya next May and I was wondering if anyone has used Edventure Tours? I read on another forum that for $55.00 per person you can customize your day with them and pretty much do whatever you choose to do. We were in Cozumel this year, spent a day in Playa going to Tulum and Xel Ha. Loved Playa so much that were taking the family next year. We really want to do some snorkeling and see at least one cenote.

You cant go wrong here. My wife and I used them in August. They are very Personable, Ed and his family go out of their way to make your day special. I will use them from now on in the future. Having a private tour is the way to go.
Make sure that you specify that you want it "Private" or you may have another couple going with you. Didnt happen to us, but we did ride to a central location in a van with two other couples who had picked the same activities, and they had their tour together. But they loved it, we met up at the end of the day, and they had become friends on the tour.

Our tour guide was Ed's Mother, she was Fantastic, We will request her from now on too.

Had a great time with them in June. We went to a cenote, Akumal Bay, Yal-Ku Lagoon, the monkey sanctuary and lunch in Chemuyil. Very fun day.

Out of curiosity I have just visited their website and I have to say it has to be the most annoying and irritating site in the history of the universe. Might on the face of it sound like competitors, but its all irritating "I'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden" crap and no substance.

Give me Mitch any day of the week....

We've done tours with both Mitch and edventure. They are unique in their own way and not comparable. Both are full of fun and excitement....just depends on exactly where you want to go and what you want to do. Edventure goes places Mitch doesn't currently go and vice-versa. I think there is plenty of room out there for good, quality tour guides.

I recommend booking a tour with Mitch's company through this websight.
