As you may know, I JUST GOT BACK from my trip to RPDC (Sept 15-23), and I am GOING BACK November 22-27 (not surprisingly cost for 5 nights in Nov nearly the same as 8 nights in Sept (except that this time I am doing a private transfer. (Funjet, Lomas Travel).
I am beyond excited. So this had been a good travel year. April 07: Sunscape Casa del Mar (La Romana, DR) April 07: Dallas Texas for 3 day weekend Sept 07: Labor day weekend in Arizona sept 15-23: RPDC, Playa del Carmen, MX Oct 18-21: Dallas Texas again Nov 22-27: Royal PDC again December 15-29: Arizona for Xmas to see my sister. That's a lot of miles!!!! ![]() Oct 7, 2007: i started planning for April 2008 and boy did I get a BIG SHOCK. Not only the airlines but the hotel prices (and I do realize that's still high season. In SEpt 07 I paid around $425 RT JFK-CUN with Jet Blue. The fare for next april is $993. And American is only a few dollars cheaper. Unless I get large amounts of cash for Xmas, I may not be able to go ANYWHERE. Last edited by Karen in NYC; 10-07-2007 at 06:59 PM. Reason: Additional information |

Happy to read your birthday trip was great. I only wish I could head back that quickly to RPDC. I'm soooooo jealous. Any different plans from your first trip there - or just more fun and relaxation?
Whatever you get up to, have another great trip and give us a full report when you get back.

Bebe2, just more relaxation. And several trips to Starbucks. I have to find out how early they open.
I was SOOO careful with the sun last time (last week!!!) this time i want to get a little more sun! Next trip report will be short. Just comparisons between two trips. |

With heading to Starbucks you'll get a chance to take in some of 5th's flavor. We enjoyed the atmosphere even with the store owners hooting at us to check out their place. LOL I believe someone mentioned they were disappointed Starbucks wasn't open all that early. I was a coffee and cream in the resort "Magic Box" person myself while we were there. Gotta have the morning cup or two.
Looking forward to hearing what differences you encounter your second trip there. Enjoy! |

Cafe Corozon was up the street from the Royal, make a right turn - coffee and cappucino to die for. Ah Cacao is also at the top of the street....again, better coffee than Starbucks for less money too. Last edited by Shammy; 10-02-2007 at 02:15 PM. |

Jillie, in fairness to THIS website, I should tell you FIRST that if you go to the trip planning tab at the top of the page you can find information about airport transfers.
If you are using a tour operator such as apple, funjet your transfers might be included. Otherwise you can check CancunValet - they wont be cheap but you will be the only person. |
