If I had to sit down everyday and really try to create something special (like Heather so gracefully does, damn her) I would never blog at all.
Start your blog and see where it takes you. It doesn't HAVE to be deep and meaningful and thereapudic. I CAN be just fun.

I'm also getting interested in this html stuff. I want to learn how to do it, so experimenting with it is the only way to do so...and it's free and I can mess it up all I want to and not hurt anything.
You both are right, of course. If I'm gonna do it, I just need to stop all the angst and get on it.

I really admire all of you who've taken the plunge - Michele, PlayaGroom, SunKnee Marie, JulieA, Ginger, etc. I'm a total voyeur and absolutely love reading other people's blogs in all their different forms.(And then there's Heather. Michele, I agree, she's right up there with Johnny Virgil as far as blogging deities in my book.)

I'll do a little work on mine and let you know when it's ready for prime time.

Perhaps. All I can say is 15 Minute Lunch has never made me sob uncontrollably. (About a Boy)

Aww, thanks, Michele. I have considered trying to send out that particular entry, perhaps to a Mother's Day Essay contest.

I wrote an entry last night
then I deleted it.

It was about sobbing being over, a party on Saturday and the Oscars on Sunday.

Cliff notes version would have been:

Friends of our son over Saturday, also friends our age from that time period.
Wonderful time. The mid twenty year olds all in or accepted to grad school and living full lives.

Oscars on Sunday. Some actor thanked his mother and father in acceptance speech.

I went to the bedroom and cried - hard. First time in a couple of years.

No more thank-yous. No grandchildren. No son.

but at least the sun is shining, right?

There I have burdened all of you but have expiated any guilt I felt over deleting a longer and better written version.

Sorry

Well, I could re-write it, but it is another reason why I may need another blog, since that my current has been dedicated to a more narrow focus.

But with summer coming here, I have lowered by internet time some.

thanks for wishing that though . It never did actually get on-line, but was on my hard drive.

but I'm glad you at least wrote it, if it was cathartic in any way... even if it didn't make it into the "real world"...

Okay (deep breath) I'm taking the plunge!! In the spirit of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours," here's mine:

write here. write now.

Thanks to all of you for your inspiration and encouragement. (Heather, you'll notice that I first started mine back in October, shortly after you started the "Personal Blogs" thread. And your blog is one of my all-time faves.)

Can I add you fine Playa peeps to my blogroll?

Silly girl! Yours is one of my favorites. (You'll see I even mentioned it in my most recent entry.) I've been touched, amused and inspired by your various posts about life and family. That's a gift. Keep on bloggin'!
