Secrets Capri or RPDC?

Hubby and I are looking for an adults trip. We usually go to Couples in Jamaica when we travel kidless but I really wanted to get back to PDC.
Has anyone been to both? I know I can get great reviews on both properties but I was hoping to compare them. Things such as food, rooms, and beach. I am sure service at either one is great.
I am sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it in recent threads.
Thanks.

We got married at Secrets two years ago but chose to go to RPDC last year. We loved Secrets but the one thing RPDC as over it is it's proximity to 5th Ave.. We really enjoyed being able to step out the front entrance at RPDC and onto 5th. Both Secrets Capri and RPDC have great food and wonderful staff. The grounds at Secrets are nicer, I preferred the swim up bar there and loved the cold and warm pools. Also, more isolated is Secrets if that is what you desire. The one thing RPDC has over Secrets is a better beach and nicer swimming area. So, if you desire a more isolated resort, I suggest Secrets. If you want to be right in PDC, go to RPDC. However, know that whichever resort you choose, they are both excellent. And yes, we are returning to RPDC in February!

Everything said above is what I would say as well. They are quite comparable but the actual location is usually what sways someone to pick one over the other. If you want to be as close to town as possible, obviously the Royal PDC would win over Secrets. But Secrets is nice too. It's a toss up I guess!

But if you want my opinion....having been to all three - skip the first two and go to the Iberostar Grand. You SO won't regret it!

they are both great, really does depend on what you want. we like secrets because of the location. when we go we really prefer a little isolation. if you want to be closer to town then the royal is the deal. i guess we think the service at secrets is a step above the rest.
