And you seized upon it like a bull in a china shop, didn't you?

Even the best make mistakes, but the bolder risk making even more mistakes. Al Gore has become a bold man.

An interesting thought just popped into my mind...I wonder what they are saying behind closed doors in the GOP now?

There is a major election coming up

The word does start with a b but it's not bold. Bumbling is much closer to the truth.

Even Jesus and UGAPlaya bumbled/bumble towards what they considered/consider righteous.

While Al Gore has committed himself to bringing climate change to the forefront, I am still confused as to why he won a "Peace Prize". Can someone please enlighten me on this ?

As I suggested in my post 66 on this thread , contributing to avoid possible future wars over dwindling resources may have been one of the reasons. You'd have to read the Nobel committe's own reasons for the whole spiel, though.

Dear Jack,
I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. This award is even more meaningful because I have the honor of sharing it with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change--the world's pre-eminent scientific body devoted to improving our understanding of the climate crisis--a group whose members have worked tirelessly and selflessly for many years. We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity. It is also our greatest opportunity to lift global consciousness to a higher level.
My wife, Tipper, and I will donate 100 percent of the proceeds of the award to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a bipartisan non-profit organization that is devoted to changing public opinion in the U.S. and around the world about the urgency of solving the climate crisis.
Thank you,
Al Gore
