Cancun Palace
Has any one stayed at the Cancun Palace ?
Yes we are going to Cancun for a week in January. It is a business trip and all expenses are paid so we did not have a choice of where to stay........but it looks very very nice in the pictures I have seen. |

![]() It is on the beach (all rooms have ocean view) - so not really sure. All I know is we have privlages at the other palace resorts I hope I will be able to walk around (or take a short taxi ride ) and go shopping around Cancun. I am also trying to check out some of the tour stuff (I want to go to Isla one day) Here is the web site: Palace Resorts - Welcome to the Official Site - Enjoy high-energy all inclusive vacations at Cancun Palace Resort! |

The Hotel Zone is the jut of land with all of the high rises...actually the barrier island that the hotels have been built on. EDIT: just checked your link - yes...it's in the Hotel Zone |

We have stayed at the Cancun Palace several times (during Wilma was our last visit there). When we were in Playa in May, we took a day trip to the CP just to see how things had changed since they reopened.
We were a bit disappointed with the new layout, but someone new to the place may like it. But the things that we had always loved about the hotel were the same..the service and the beach. Cute little beach bar now with swings. We had taco's, arracherra, Don Julio and Champagne and a great server/bartender. It was so nice down there that we didn't even step foot into the pool all day long.... Here are a few pics: Lobby - Beach Area - More beach area - I hope you enjoy...PM me if you have more questions... |

We are going to the Sun Palace in two weeks and are going to try to stop at the Cancun and Moon Palaces to check them out. I'll let you know the condition of the beach if we do.
I would like to know if the buses take $1 american or if I need to get pesos. Also, how long is the ferry ride to Isla Mujeres? Is it a rough ride for those who aren't seaworthy? Me ![]() |
