That game was HORRIBLE. Actually the Sox played stunningly well, and it is just ONE game, but I really want to see the Rockies play well again.

Beckett is an amazing pitcher. I don't think I've ever seen a pitcher stay in that long....

As I was saying, close shave on tonight's game. Now to see if the Rockies rebound at home.

Was just going through old photos tonight and realized that Benjamin has actually been a Rockies fan for virtually his entire life. Take a look!

Go Rockies!
Maybe the Sox can't perform at high altitude.

Let's hear it just for that being a truly good game last night. As the announcers correctly but in rather ad nauseum fashion noted, lots of base running points.

Poor Holiday: great game at the bat and then pulls that bonehead move to get picked off, which is what people will remember. Reminds me in a very small way, especially as the Red Sox are involved, of poor old Bill Buckner, who had a great series that year against the Mets, even aging and hobbled as he was, and yet the one thing people will remember is instead

Poor Holiday is right! He was hitting SO WELL!!! I remember when Bill Buckner played for the LA Dodgers (back in the day - with Lopes, Yeager, Garvey, et al.) I practically lived at Dodger Stadium then.

It was very good to see the Rockies play well last night, and 1-2 is so much more respectable than 1-13.
