Too late to Upgrade?

Hi, all. We're newbies with a March 3 '08 booking, Standard Jr Suite. Is it too late to change to Oceanview? If not, how would we best do it?

Contact whomever booked your trip and first see if they are any Royal ocean view jr. suites available for your dates and if so, how much the cost would be to make the change. I do see some still available for a 3/3 arrival, in fact that is the ONLY room category I see that isn't sold out!

Thanks, Shammy. I called, and the difference (including fees) was a bit much for me, so I think I'll pass. I understand I can still check in online, though, but at this room level, not select a room, yes?

You're right But you won't miss anything, there's no big difference, the suites are all the same. They are beautiful Everything was perfect for us. Have a nice trip

Wink

Thanks for the info, Titemiou-we're really excited to have found all you "peeps," and we're sure that all the priceless advice here on the forum will help us maximize our fun in the sun. Here's a brief background on us: we're in colorful Colorado. We're mid 40's and just beginning to really travel. In fact, this will be our first trip together outside of the states, and first time to visit a beach, believe it or not (so we're multi-layered newbies & we are really enjoying all your trip reports!
-A few more questions, if we may:
Some of you mentioned travelling very lightly, with just carry-on luggage. This is intriguing, and we may be up to the challenge, depending on the shopping in PdC. Any suggestions or ideas along these lines?
Also, has anyone ever posted a "pre-trip report?" What I mean is, a planned itinerary that others can comment on, and help tweak? This could be fun.
Oh, and one more: how is the transfer from Cancun to Playa, and what to watch for?
thanks,
Ron & Kay
ps one more question: this hotel-it does have a safe? and at online check-in, we can ask for the King bed instead of the two Doubles?

I can't help you with all of your questions but Yes, there is a safe in the room. As for the online check-in, not sure but I think there's a place for special request.
Its a wonderful choice for a first time trip. Its the only place to this day, that my boyfriend didn't find anything negative to say about. He even wants to go back

Hey again, all. We're standing in 8" of fresh new snow, and the temps are a bit milder than they've been: 27F. The ski-rats are celebrating! It's all good, but lately, I've been diggin' that beach cam somewhat fierce.
Just to re-post a previous question: at online check-in, can we pick a bed type? Also, I wish I'd known to book our transfer on this site, but we didn't. We went with the roaming gnome. But we printed out a voucher. Is there really a chance that they'd space us out?
