Travel Questions / RIU Playacar Beach and other suggestions
Hi, my husband and I have been going to the RIU Playacar for the last 4 years now and the beach just keeps disappearing year after year and last April was the worst - does anyone have any true facts on whether or not it is still the same?
We are traveling out of Detroit and just found out that the MLT charters have dropped the Detroit to Mexico charter and we checked all of the other charters (ie Funjet, Northwest Direct, Spirit, etc.) and the price to the all inclusive has gone up another $400. Has anyone else been experiencing the price increase or is it just us? So any advice on the Beach question and or any suggestion on another great resort like the RIU Playacar (on the smaller scale) that youwould recommend. ![]() Thanks Lisa & Bill ![]() |

I know we are talking RIU but Barcelo has a great beach and USA 3000 had it for $1600 for 2 taxes in out of Detroit leaving Oct 31 for 1 week, transfers included. I booked my parents on that exact trip it was such a good deal. Direct flights
Just a thought My pics are here I just returned and love the resort, it was our 5th visit. spamalot65's photos and albums on webshots good luck were ever you decide. Thats a steel price for Barcelo |
