Unhappy

low life skanks......that what they are....my uncle was a bombardeer(? let the bombs go over the targets) over Italy in WWII, got shot down, and did a year in one of Hitlers p o w camps....my aunt and my mom had nary a clue as to whether he was alive or not......he lived through it, stayed in what became the U.S. Air Force, and became a dentist.......staying in the Air Force....along comes Viet Nam, he was over there, setting up dental clinics for civilians.....just a simple mouth janitor, as my dad said about themselves...and Uncle Lt. Colonol Paul got shot out of the sky in a transport plane....serving his country, and his family.....anyone that defaces that monument, does not deserve the ink that it will take to write about their crimes....cowards they are.....god bless our vets, they are our family.

I am going to Washington on Friday the 9th to meet a guy from my unit for the 25th anniversary of the memorial. Will be there three nights, leave on Monday the 12th.

The Wall: 25th Anniversary Parade

I cried when I watched this video. I keep thinking the emotions are gone, evaporated.

And I will be thinking of Eagle, and the Grand Canyon, and all of you.

Made me cry too.
Thanks Roni.
If you're ever back there you can visit my dad, Norman Evans, at panel 6W 80, and my uncle, David Lynn Evans, at panel 40W 28. They were 2 of 4 brothers that all fought in Vietnam. My dad did two tours and one uncle did three tours. My uncle that was killed was only 19 and in his first tour. They're both on the Oregon Memorial in Beaverton if you're ever in that area as well as on the Virtual Wall. I'm proud as hell of my family name and proud to be an American. Thanks for posting that. I've seen the travelling wall a couple of times but have never been to D.C. to see the real deal. I also have a desire to go to Vietnam and retrace my dad's footsteps. Kind of crazy.

I thank your Dad and your Uncle for their service and ultimate sacrifice. We all owe them.

I appreciate the thread being here. I don't think I want to add to much to the conversation here. I felt it might be a good idea to put this link to a memorial plaque for some others who gave their lives for us in the theater as they aren't on the wall. Memorial Plaque - Larger View

May they all rest in peace, and their loved ones find comfort and closure.
